ambassadors

The Running Kind is proud to support a group of ambassadors each year. This sustainability squad is made up of runners and volunteers that support our mission to move sport to zero carbon, one run at a time! Interested in becoming an ambassador? Check out more information on our program below!

  • Emily Fisk

    she / her

    Ultra-marathoner | Philadelphia, PA

“I think it’s extremely important to protect our planet and our trails. There is so much to learn from being in nature, and The Running Kind is doing an amazing job of hosting zero carbon events and educating others. A lot talk about it, but The Running Kind is doing it.”

  • Chris Cunningham

    he / him

    Everything runner | Scranton, PA

“I love the environmental goals of The Running Kind, as well as the inclusive nature of the group. I think that especially in the current climate, those of us with privilege have to add our voice & support worthy organizations fighting for causes we believe in.”

  • Abby Ward

    she/her

Trail runner & Marathoner | Lehigh Valley, PA

“I feel strongly about the importance of community, sustainability, inclusivity, and togetherness, and I feel that The Running Kind truly embraces these qualities. We are stronger together, and I believe The Running Kind has the drive to be a leader for positive change in the local community and beyond. I have personally learned so much through my involvement with The Running Kind.”

  • Alison Uhrlass

    she/her

    Trail runner | Brooklyn, NY

“As an environmentalist, trail runner, and community organizer I appreciate TRK’s ability to make events fun and accessible for runners of all backgrounds and also infuse its programming with environmental education to show athletes how they can make an impact. I think the variety in TRK’s events is also really special, giving people the ability to not only race, but to have additional ways to connect socially and give back to their communities through trail work.”

  • Maeve Thistel

    she / her

    Ultra-marathoner | Lancaster, PA

“I’ve always believed that running is for everyone and that human-caused climate change is an urgent reality we can’t ignore. The Running Kind reflects those values, and that means a great deal to me. Run for good, run for kindness—these principles resonate with me, and I see them embodied in The Running Kind.”

  • Maggie Grehlinger

    she/her

    Ultra-marathoner | Philadelphia, PA

“The Running Kind is an inclusive race network that shares the trails in a caring and supportive way to both the runners AND to Mother Nature. It embodies the reason for running trails. To connect with each other and with nature. I want to spread the message of eco friendly ideas and I also want to learn to be better myself.”

  • Jenna Scholl

    she/her

Trail runner | Lehigh Valley, PA

“I’ve truly fallen in love with exploring local trails, pushing my limits, and growing as a trail runner. Running has brought so much joy and connection into my life, and I want to share that with others. I care deeply about running sustainably and hope to inspire others to be mindful of our trails. Lastly, I want to be a positive, supportive friend to others in the running community—cheering them on every step of the way. As a teacher, I genuinely want my students to feel a sense of belonging, and I feel as if the running community should be the same.”

  • Asdrubal Brid

    he/him

    Everything runner | Nashville, TN

“I have been running for the past 7 years. M journey became part of my health routine, which is something that I must do to feel good… my way to connect with me. I am excited to learn from The Running Kind and apply it on my own community.”

  • Karla Estudillo Fuentes

    she/her

Trail runner & Marathoner | Atlanta, GA

“I try to live as intentionally as possible which for me means being vegan, buying secondhand, reducing waste, planting native plants, etc. because I believe we live and run in relationship to the land. I initially learned and was interested in The Running Kind because I strongly believe in its mission of running becoming a sport that not only believes in the health and wellness of our body but can be used to care for the earth we run on as well.”
